Background

|
A craft
carrying institute advisors has been shot down in Nevada. Debris
from the crash and the bodies of the advisors have been taken
to Area 51. A spy inside the base has managed to get footage to
the institute of a possible survivor. This mission is to rescue
that survivor.

A mission
where you are partly responsible for making sure two idiotic life
forms don't get themselves killed. Specimen one is an alien, who
calls himself Elvis. Specimen two, is a CI spy named Jonathan.
You have to go out of your way to find him, then wait forever
until he manages to get the explosives set up. Finally, after
reviving the alien, Jonathan often decides to play hero and take
on the guards. When he finally meets up with you at the end, a
long conversation occurs debating how to escape, meanwhile you're
covering the backs of the two carefree members of your 'team'.
Finally, Jonathan volunteers to stay behind, and escape on a hoverbike.
If you follow him, Joanna will choose to escape that way. Don't
let that happen. Letting Jonathan open the doors himself while
you wait and escape is the best option.

Your
starting point for this level is a gas filled room. You are pushing
an unconscious alien on a hovering stretcher. Head forward as
fast as possible, through the doors, through another huge room,
and into the main hallway, where the gas is not present. Head
right, and you'll be greeted by two Biotechnicians with Tranquilizers.
When shot with a Tranquilizer, your vision decreases severely.
Don't let this happen.

Push
the alien forward, through the brown door in the above and right
screenshot, down the ramp to the left, and the alien will automatically
break free from your grip after passing through the final door.
Head back to the main hallway, and head into the right door. Two
more Biotechnicians await in a circular room there.

At
the back of the circular room, is an down slope hallway, and a
door at the end of it. After the door, look right, and shoot the
guard you see. Two more guards will follow, so duck back, and
to your left.
|
From
this point, you can easily dispose of the guards who will attack
you from around the corner. Once finished with them, continue
in that room, and find the door on the left wall. Open it, and
pick off more guards on the walkway.
|
At
the end of the walkway, enter the door, and push the purple canister
on the floor, into the glass. Shoot it, exploding it, which will
break the glass. Behind the glass, activate the panel, that will
unlock a nearby door.
|
Around
the corner, is a guard. Kill him, and to the right, is the door
that you just unlocked. Open it, and grab the briefcase which
is the Alien Tech Medpack. Objective
1: Complete.
Keep going, around the corner, and through a long series of doors,
until you finally reach this guard at the end, to be killed.

Head
right, and there is another guard around the corner. Beyond him,
is another guard, at the end of a walkway. He will usually run
at you if you don't approach him, so use this opportunity to kill
him. Switch to your Dragon, and it's secondary function.
|
Follow
the walkway, as it leads you to another room. The CI spy Jonathan
is located there on Perfect Agent. As soon as you see the Objective
2: Complete
message, strafe right, and launch a grenade at the feet of three
guards who will enter the room via another door. Collect their
ammo, and head back. Jonathan will follow.

At
the point where the first guard at the end of the series of doors
was, more guards will enter. You may choose to duck back, and
blast them with grenade rounds as they come around the corner.
In this screenshot, I've just wiped them out, obviously missing
the lead guard, and I'll take a bullet from him before killing
him. Head back, and around the corner where you recovered the
alien medpack, a new guard will be waiting.

Head
along the walkway, under the open sky, until you reach the door.
Use your Dragon's secondary function, and launch a grenade as
soon as the door opens, at a downward angle, in the middle of
a grouping of guards. A lone grenade should take care of them
all. When Jonathan reaches this point, he will head for the wall,
to install the explosives. You must guard the door behind you,
and make sure to kill guards that enter.

After
what may seem like an eternity, Jonathan will leave the wall,
and it will explode, revealing the secret hangar. Objective
3: Complete.
There is a guard straight ahead. Jump down, the walkway to the
left, and into the door at the bottom. The alien you left here
earlier in the mission is still there. On Perfect Agent, you will
need to use the alien medpack on him to awaken him.

The
Medpack takes time to administer, so open the door to the ramp
ahead, and blast the guards who come down there to collect their
ammo. Eventually, the medpack will finish being administered,
and as soon as you approach the alien, the cinema scene will kick
in. Objective
4: Complete.
At the end of the scene, follow Jonathan out, and blast any nearby
guards, especially ones on the walkway.

Jonathan
often decides to stay and fight, but he will eventually follow
you around the corner, to the alien spaceship. You must protect
your friends from guards at this point, as they will not cease
to attempt to end your escape. Eventually, Jonathan will volunteer
to stay behind and open the hangar doors, so you can escape with
Elvis in the Maian spaceship. Let him go. Better him than you.
Cover him once he reaches the walkway though, so he doesn't get
shot. Once he opens the doors, the cinema scene kicks in. Objective
5: Complete.
